My story begins out in the middle of the sticks in Northeast Washington where my family made their own electricity and an outhouse was the proper bathroom until the age of 9. It was a 'off-the-grid' mountain lifestyle. A lifestyle that has taught me to be self-reliant, and handy with putting chains on vehicles. Between making mud pies, catching salamanders in the pond, and riding horses, I developed a love for artwork and creating things with my hands.
I went to school at Western Washington University receiving a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Business. Graduating in June 2008, I received the Outstanding Graduate award from the Art department, the Excellence in Design award from the department, and my "Matane" project received merits in Creative Quarterly 12.
Since 2008 I've worked as a studio designer for Wieden+Kennedy (advertising agency based out of Portland, Oregon). W+K brought me to Amsterdam in June 2011 where I currently reside for an indefinite period of time, working on campaigns for Nike, Heineken, Nokia, and BASF.
Amster-shh!
